New Years-eve brings a time of soul searching and allows people to reflect on the year that has passed which is why so many people set new-year’s resolutions; to improve themselves and their lives, but did you know that only 8% of people stick to their new-year’s resolutions? This is mostly because people tend to set too many or they get distracted. I also fall victim to this, the New Year’s resolutions that I set last year was 1. To eat more healthily and 2. Learn a new language… I did try to learn Spanish and failed miserably due to having ‘a lack of time to learn’!!
This year I’m setting more realistic resolutions for me, these are;
- Give up some of my time to volunteer for different charities that I am passionate about
- Keep eating healthily
- Exercise more
- Visit at least 3 new places
It’s good to set goals for the new-year whether they are new ones or ones you have set previously, as they help to keep you on track.
Whether you keep to your new years’ resolutions or not, the important thing is to learn from past mistakes and carry the lessons of time with you.
Have a wonderful New Year’s everyone. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2018 x
